After a short round of introductions, there will be a tool introduction with joint exploration of the Power BI and Power Query user interface.

You will learn how different data sources can be connected to Power BI and gain basic knowledge of how data can be prepared effectively.

We get to know the different types of visualizations in Power BI, including tricks to make visualizations more elegant and easier to understand.

You will get to know Data Analysis Expressions (DAX). We will write our first calculations together and learn about the relevance of different contexts in the dashboard using practical examples.

The day ends with an open round for questions and feedback.

You will learn how to handle different data bases, divide tables into fact and dimension tables and organize connections.

We deepen our understanding of DAX and look at best practices for more complex calculations. Logical functions and the use of parameters are covered.

We dive into advanced dashboard elements (bookmarks, custom tooltips etc.) and build our first complete dashboard.

Once again, there will be an open round for questions and feedback in order to continuously optimize the workshop.

You will learn a structured approach to creating dashboards for customers and colleagues step by step in the right order.

Before we create the dashboard, we sketch it out with paper and pencil. This allows us to prioritize the answers to the important questions.

Now you can freely create your dashboard! We provide assistance and examples of how best to visualize the data set.
