Our history

The success story that is Hopmann Marketing Analytics began back in 2006, when the company was founded. Since then we have been supporting major corporations, medium-sized companies and start-ups, sharing our expertise as marketing specialists with data skills and building long-term relationships. I have been working in the online industry since 1997. From the very beginning I have been driven by my interest in using data for marketing and I decided to focus on digital analytics way back when this was still a new field.

Our projects are the perfect way for me to combine my fascination with data; my enthusiasm for the online industry and my passion for attractive, effective visualisation.

Managing Director

I have over 20 years’ professional experience in IT and telecommunications. In that time I have become a specialist for the project and programme management of software implementations. I’m a huge fan of agile methods and firmly believe that, if tailored to specific current needs, they will always lead to success. At Hopmann Marketing Analytics I work as a project coach as well as being responsible for finances, marketing and HR.

My biggest project? My two children, who are more challenging than any other task I’ve ever had.

Only those who move can make a difference - that pretty much describes my attitude. Since the mid-90s, I have had the opportunity to contribute my skills in various management positions in marketing, sales and business development. I thrive on new challenges, and the colder the water, the more I come alive. In addition to being organized and structured, I have a passion for numbers. At Hopmann, I actively support the management team in a variety of tasks.

In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and our dog, going on active trips. I'm also a fan of extended game nights.

During my studies in Media Economics, I discovered my passion for data-driven Marketing and specialized in this field. Over the past 17 years, I gained experience as a Marketing Director and Project Manager in various international companies (B2B, B2C, agency). I have been able to share my passion for Marketing data in various book articles, conference talks and interviews in Marketing magazines. At Hopmann Marketing Analytics, I take care of all Marketing activities as well as the creation of exciting content for (potential) customers.

In my free time, I enjoy being in the mountains and in nature with my family. I also write bilingual kids books and stories that encourage the understanding between different cultures.

After studying management and economics in Innsbruck, I quickly learned to appreciate and love project management. Thanks to large projects, I was able to gain valuable experience in both classic and agile project management. My daily motivation comes from generating added value for both our customers and my own colleagues through targeted practices and methods.

In my free time, I explore the world in completely new ways with my two children and can be found in the mountains at any time of the year.

Through my studies in human-computer interaction and my PhD in the field of data visualization, my expertise lies on the one hand in the development of ETL processes for data integration and transformation with common tools like Airflow and dbt as well as cloud providers such as AWS and GCP. As Tableau IronViz Champion Europe and a certified Tableau expert with many years of experience, I also deal with the conception and implementation of effective visualizations and interactive dashboards.

Besides data visualization, my second big passion is music, which is why I spend a lot of time at concerts or with my own bands in the rehearsal room and on stage.

As a certified Tableau expert with a Master's degree in statistics, I support our customers from data preparation, merging and analysis to the design and visualization of interactive dashboards. In addition to Tableau, I also realize projects using Data Virtuality and R.

After successfully completing my Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Data Science, I gained several years of experience in working with customers. As a certified Snowflake expert, I focus on the development of ETL/ELT processes for data integration and data transformation for subsequent visualizations. Depending on the client's needs, I realize sophisticated data engineering projects with various technologies, including both on-premise solutions and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

In my free time, I like to travel or do sports, mainly outdoors in the fresh air.

I discovered my passion for data and analytics during a statistics lecture and deepened my studies in this field. At Hopmann Marketing Analytics, I contribute my analytical skills as a Data Engineering Specialist. This includes building ETL pipelines with tools as well as scripts on the one hand and transforming data for subsequent visualizations on the other hand.

In my free time I can usually be found outside: in the mountains, at the lake or sailing on the sea. I also like to spend nice evenings with friends.

As a Data Engineer, I deal with a variety of tasks, such as the integration and transformation of data as well as the development of efficient ETL pipelines. In doing so, it is particularly important to me to provide our customers with the best possible support and to always be informed about the latest trends in Big Data technologies in order to gain valuable insights from the data.

Outside of my professional activities, I like to engage in sports such as cycling and basketball. I'm also passionate about traveling to new places to learn about other cultures and capture special moments photographically.

The programming techniques I've learned in my master's degree program in Management Technology enable me to do this effectively and provide support to my team. During my master's degree in business administration and in a working student position, I was already involved in the analysis and evaluation of large amounts of data. I now bring this experience to Hopmann Marketing Analytics and continue to expand my knowledge.

By preparing our clients' data and presenting key figures in visually appealing dashboards, I can help them gain such an overview. I do this by using popular visualization tools like Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.

In my free time, you can often find me out in the fresh air, either walking our dog or doing some endurance running or cycling.

I bring to the table a decade of professional experience in the realm of data work. I initially focused my efforts on the fields of data analysis and visualization, serving as a data journalist and analyst. In recent years, my repertoire has expanded to encompass data engineering, with a particular emphasis on the development of warehouses and pipelines, as well as devising comprehensive data strategies. This holistic approach, combined with my commitment to enabling knowledge through data, has allowed me to assist a multitude of companies with diverse stakeholders in achieving unified reporting solutions, enhancing their data-driven decision-making processes.

Outside the confines of my professional life, I take delight in baking with sourdough, feel at home in the workshop, and seize every opportunity to be out and about in the great outdoors.

During my PhD research in epigenetics, I was quickly captivated by the power of data analysis. In the team of Data Analytics, I use my experience in Big Data projects to specialize in interpreting complex data.

As a graduate physicist, I have always been fascinated by delving into complex problems and developing technical solutions, which I can then explain in a simplified and understandable manner to others.
As a Digital Analytics Team Lead, my team and I support our clients in implementing tracking, collecting and visualizing data on their online marketing activities. We analyze trends, identify optimization potentials, and help our customers make informed decisions to achieve their business goals. Since 2013, I have been living in my adopted city of Seville in Spain from where I work remotely for Hopmann Marketing Analytics.

In addition to my professional activities, I am enthusiastically involved in volunteering for our local German community, thus preserving our culture and maintaining my connections to Germany.

The added value generated by collecting and analyzing data is enormous. As a Big Data Marketing student, my fascination for the "power of data" has grown. I get to encounter this first-hand in the Digital Analytics team. We support clients in data analysis and develop tracking concepts that define the framework for implementation, evaluation and interpretation of the data.

I like to spend my free time doing sports in nature: Hiking in the mountains, swimming in the lake or the sea, or cycling. Being new to Munich, I like to explore the surrounding area if I am not travelling to new countries during my free time.
