Our History

The success story that is Hopmann Marketing Analytics began back in 2006, when the company was founded. Since then we have been supporting major corporations, medium-sized companies and start-ups, sharing our expertise as marketing specialists with data skills and building long-term relationships. We help our clients to master all the challenges they face when dealing with analytical aspects of marketing. Our pragmatism and entrepreneurial mindset are highly appreciated by our clients. We have made it our job to generate recommendations for action that are based on facts.

I have been working in the online industry since 1997. From the very beginning I have been driven by my interest in using data for marketing and I decided to focus on digital analytics way back when this was still a new field.

Our projects are the perfect way for me to combine my fascination with data; my enthusiasm for the online industry and my passion for attractive, effective visualisation.

I have over 20 years’ professional experience in IT and telecommunications. In that time I have become a specialist for the project and programme management of software implementations. I’m a huge fan of agile methods and firmly believe that, if tailored to specific current needs, they will always lead to success. At Hopmann Marketing Analytics I work as a project coach as well as being responsible for finances, marketing and HR.

My biggest project? My two children, who are more challenging than any other task I’ve ever had.

Only those who move can make a difference – that pretty much sums up my attitude. Since the mid-90s, I have had the opportunity to contribute my skills in various management positions in marketing, sales and business development. I love new challenges and the colder the water, the more I thaw out. In addition to organization and structure, I have a soft spot for numbers. At Hopmann, I actively support the management in a variety of tasks.

I like to spend my free time actively on excursions with my family and our dog. I’m also a fan of extended games evenings.

I discovered my passion for data-driven marketing during my studies in media management and specialized in it. Over the past 17 years, I have worked as a marketing and project manager in various international companies (B2B, B2C, agency). I have been able to share my passion for marketing data in various book articles, event presentations and interviews in trade magazines. At Hopmann Marketing Analytics, I take care of general marketing and the creation of exciting content for (potential) customers.

I like to spend my free time with my family in the mountains and in nature. I also write bilingual children’s books and stories that promote understanding between different cultures.

After studying economics in Innsbruck, I quickly learned to appreciate and love project management. Thanks to large projects, I was able to gain valuable experience in both classic and agile project management. My daily motivation is to generate added value for both our customers and my own colleagues through targeted practices and methods.

In my free time, I explore the world in new ways with my two children and can be found in the mountains at any time of year.

Thanks to my studies in media informatics and my doctorate in the field of data visualization, my expertise lies in the development of ETL processes for data integration and transformation with common tools such as Data Virtuality or scripting languages such as Python and R. As a certified Tableau expert with many years of experience, I also deal with the conception and implementation of effective visualizations and interactive dashboards.

In addition to data visualization, my second great passion is music, which is why I spend a lot of time at concerts or with my own bands in the rehearsal room and on stage.

As a certified Tableau expert with a master’s degree in statistics, I support our customers from data preparation, merging and analysis to the design and visualization of interactive dashboards. In addition to Tableau, I use Data Virtuality and R.

I like to spend my free time in the mountains – with a piece of chocolate and in good company.

I discovered my passion for analytics while working in an IT management consultancy. I find it very interesting to collect data from different sources, organize it efficiently and gain meaningful insights. At Hopmann Marketing Analytics, I support the data engineering team in the development of data models and the creation of ETL pipelines.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, cycling in nature and traveling.

After successfully completing my master’s degree in mechanical engineering and data science, I gained several years of experience in customer consulting. As a certified Snowflake expert, I deal with the development of ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation for subsequent visualizations. Depending on the client’s needs, I manage challenging data engineering projects with various technologies, including both on-premise solutions and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

In my free time, I like to travel or do sports, mainly outdoors in the fresh air.

I discovered my passion for data and analytics during a statistics lecture and deepened my studies in this area. At Hopmann Marketing Analytics, I contribute my analytical skills as a Data Engineering Specialist. This includes building ETL pipelines with tools and scripts on the one hand and transforming data for subsequent visualizations on the other.

In my free time, I can usually be found outdoors: in the mountains, at the lake or in the sea on a sailing boat. I also enjoy spending nice evenings with friends.

JUNIOR DATA ENGINEERING SPECIALIST

As a data engineer, I deal with a variety of tasks, such as the integration and transformation of data and the development of efficient ETL pipelines. It is particularly important to me to provide our customers with the best possible support and to keep up to date with the latest trends in big data technologies in order to gain valuable insights from the data.

Outside of work, I enjoy cycling and basketball. I am also passionate about traveling to new places to get to know other cultures and capture special moments photographically.

As a Data Engineering workstudent, my job is to create connections between data sources and integrate them into data warehouses. The programming techniques I am learning in my Master’s program in Management Technology allow me to do this more effectively and support my team. I work with various cutting-edge tools such as Snowflake, DBT and AWS.

In my free time, I do various activities with my friends. I also enjoy sports – my favorite is playing basketball.

As a Data Visualization Specialist, my work focuses on individual dashboard solutions with Power BI and Tableau that help customers make data-driven decisions. During my master’s degree in sociology, I learned how to maintain an overview of large data sets, filter out relevant topics and communicate results in an understandable way with well thought-out visualizations.

In my free time, as a newcomer to Munich, I enjoy discovering the unknown corners of the city or playing table tennis. In the colder months, I like to sit at my sewing machine and enjoy every sewing project I complete.

Through my internships in marketing during my bachelor’s degree, I realized the immense importance of data-based decisions. In my Master’s and beyond, I threw myself fully into the fascinating universe of data analysis. My previous work in consulting allowed me to ignite my passion for data visualization and teamwork. At Hopmann, I am now fortunate enough to combine my accumulated experience and transform complex data into meaningful visualizations for our clients.

When the weather is nice, you can find me outside or traveling. Otherwise, I conjure up a cozy atmosphere at home with painting, baking and Netflix on the projector.

As a data visualization specialist at Hopmann Marketing Analytics, I am able to combine my creative training in art and design with my knowledge of data analysis. Through my studies in international economics and my previous professional experience, I have learned to visualize data in a meaningful way and to adapt it to the respective customer requirements.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time doing sports and enjoy being outdoors in nature.

In my previous role as a research assistant and lecturer at university, I learned how to present complex issues in an understandable way.

I now use this knowledge to create expressive dashboards for our customers in Power BI and Looker Studio. This creates the right basis for important decisions.

In my free time, I like to dance standard and Latin or train with the kettlebell.

As a Junior Data Visualization Specialist, my focus is on presenting our customers’ data in the most structured and meaningful way possible. I mainly use Power BI to design informative dashboards. During my master’s degree in business administration and a working student position, I already dealt with the analysis and evaluation of large amounts of data. I am now bringing this experience to Hopmann Marketing Analytics and expanding my knowledge at the same time.

In my free time, I enjoy cycling. If the weather isn’t playing ball, you can often find me at the chessboard.

In order to manage a company successfully, it is important to have a good overview of the company and its environment. By preparing our customers’ data and presenting key figures in visually appealing dashboards, I can help them to gain such an overview. I achieve this mainly by using common visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.

In my free time, you can often find me out in the fresh air, either walking our dog or taking part in endurance runs or cycling tours.

I now have ten years of professional experience in working with data. After completing my Master’s degree, I initially concentrated on data analysis and visualization as a data journalist and analyst. In recent years, I have added data engineering with the development of warehouses and pipelines. This generalist approach has enabled me to help a number of companies with a wide variety of stakeholders to develop standardized reporting solutions.

Outside of work, I enjoy baking with sourdough, feel at home in the workshop and take every opportunity to get out and about.

During my PhD in epigenetics, I quickly became fascinated by the power of data analytics. In the Data Analytics team, I use my experience in Big Data projects to specialize in the interpretation of complex data.

Outside of work, you can often find me dancing vintage style or enjoying my passion for skiing.

As a physicist by training, I have always been fascinated by understanding complex relationships and developing technical solutions that I can then explain in an understandable and simplified way.

As Digital Analytics Team Leader, I work with my team to support our clients in implementing tracking, collecting and visualizing data about their online marketing activities. We analyze trends, identify optimization potential and help our clients make informed decisions to achieve their business goals.

I have been living in my adopted home of Seville, Spain, since 2013 and work remotely for Hopmann Marketing Analytics. In addition to my professional activities, I enjoy volunteering for our local German community and maintaining our culture and my connections to Germany.

In the Digital Analytics team, I help to generate added value for our customers through the correct collection and analysis of data. To do this, I create tracking concepts and work with various analysis tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.

In my free time, I like to do sports – preferably swimming, skiing and cycling.

The added value generated by collecting and analyzing data is enormous. My fascination with the “power of data” grew during my studies in Big Data Marketing. I get to experience this at first hand in the Digital Analytics team. We support customers with data analysis and develop tracking concepts that define the framework for implementing, evaluating and interpreting the data.

I like to spend my free time doing sports and in nature: hiking in the mountains, swimming in the lake or the sea or cycling. As a newcomer to Munich, I like to explore the surrounding area when I’m not traveling in my free time.
