ROUND TABLE ON 17.07.2024
How confident are you that your marketing strategies are really based on the best available data? How much time and money could your company save if everyone analyzed and interpreted data easily? And have you made sure that relevant data is really available to all teams at all times?
Data is the common denominator of every company. Almost all departments and employees work with it in some form, but only a few use it effectively. Why else have so many organizations invested in data, systems and processes and still aren’t where they want to be? The human factor and the skills to understand and use data correctly are often missing.
“The future of work: data as a success factor” is a hot topic that is currently on the minds of many modern companies. The round table event on 17.07.2024 in Schliersee (only about 1 hour south of Munich) will focus on the exchange of experiences and innovative solutions.
Foundation for a data driven company
Data competence, also known as data literacy, is the key to the successful digitization of companies. But what does data literacy mean by definition? It is the ability of employees to understand and interpret data and use it to make informed decisions. In today’s world of work, this is essential for improving business processes and increasing efficiency – regardless of department or industry. With a few exceptions, data literacy really does affect everyone.
Managers have the task of equipping their employees to handle data correctly. If a well-thought-out data culture is established as a foundation, they are on the right track to lead their teams safely through the digital transformation.
This task is often located in different parts of the company: In some organizations, the importance of data-based decisions is driven by the specialist departments (marketing, sales, business intelligence, etc.) throughout the company. In other companies, HR and training teams are centrally responsible for promoting a data-driven and networked corporate culture – including the associated training and development of staff. However, there are also examples where those responsible for digitization play a key role in promoting a culture in which decisions are made on the basis of data analytics.
Ideally, the topic is managed centrally and thrives on the input and participation of all relevant stakeholders. As the following graphic shows, people are an essential component of the entire data-based system:
So it’s all about empowering employees. It’s about giving them the right tools and skills to actively shape the transformation to a data-driven company. It’s about developing talent and making them fit for working with data. It’s about transforming leadership in such a way that an open and transparent corporate culture is created in which data IS ALLOWED to reveal which campaigns and activities are perhaps not going so well – and not with the aim of looking for mistakes, but with the aim of learning, being open to other ways and always getting a little better together. And finally, it is about drawing valuable insights from quantitative and qualitative data available in the company, which flow into product development, marketing activities and much more.
In focus: Exchange on data as a success factor
This round table event will highlight how companies can make decisions based on data analysis in order to improve their own processes, increase efficiency and thus become or remain competitive.
We offer a platform for inspiration and the promotion of exchange on this important topic. After inspiring keynote speeches by Allianz and data experts from Hopmann, we will discuss together how your employees can drive sustainable success and innovation in your company through data-driven decisions. Afterwards, we will take the gondola to the Schliersbergalm for a networking lunch at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, with an idyllic backdrop of the Bavarian Alps.
The event is aimed at those responsible for marketing, data analytics, business intelligence, digitization, HR and training / further education. In other words, anyone who cares about the topic of “data-driven companies” and is looking for ways and like-minded people to implement it even better in their daily work.

The speakers
“As Managing Director of Hopmann Marketing Analytics GmbH, my aim is to always be one step ahead of our customers’ needs. That’s why we are constantly on the cutting edge to advise our customers on the latest trends and, of course, on the most important question of how they can benefit from them to achieve their own goals. We founded the HMA Academy because we realized how important it is for our customers to get up to speed with their own data. Advice is valuable and important. But enabling data and creating an understanding of data throughout the company is just as important. This is the ideal way to optimally support customers and help them achieve data-based success.”
“As a passionate community manager, I have been in charge of the “Allianz Zukunftsgestalter” customer community since 2017 in order to provide quick, qualitative feedback in the form of short surveys or discussion forums – as a supplement to Allianz’s existing market research formats. In recent years, the communities have tripled in size, as there is now also a community of agents and employees who actively support the continuous development of insurance products and services.”
“Data visualization is my passion. As a business mathematician, I like to combine meaningful dashboards with a beautiful design. With my Tableau certification, I want to share my in-depth knowledge of Tableau and my love for data visualization with you. In my work at Hopmann, I often give trainings – both internally and externally for our customers from different industries. My aim is to always remain patient with all questions and to convey my knowledge in an understandable and entertaining way.”
