Data, people, successes: a review of 2024 with an outlook for 2025
What a year – 2024 has not only inspired us, but also motivated us to break new ground and grow even further as a consultancy for individual data solutions! We have strengthened established business relationships whilst finding innovative solutions to better serve our clients in a changing marketing landscape. From the successful launch of our HMA Academy training offering and the expansion of our service portfolio to inspiring events and fantastic new team members, 2024 was a year that shaped and helped us move to the next level.
While data-driven insights, marketing efficiency or trend topics such as AI and marketing mix modeling (MMM) formed the core of our work, our focus was always clear: building the bridge between data and real business impact based on the motto “Data to Action” – an approach that has helped not only us but also our clients through challenging times. We have expanded our consulting services beyond marketing and sales to other business areas and strengthened our organization and expertise to meet the growing demand for strategic solutions for C-level and executive management.

HMA Academy: hands-on experience for your business
In response to many customer requests, we have added an exciting new offering to our portfolio this year: the HMA Academy. With our unique practice-oriented data training courses, we prepare the way for excellent data literacy in your company. We ensure that relevant stakeholders from a wide range of departments and levels fully understand and bring business data to life, use it for strategic decisions and base recommendations for action on it.
Your HMA Academy trainers are, without exception, consultants with hands-on experience. They implement challenging data projects for well-known clients on a daily basis and therefore not only provide you with tool knowledge, but also with relevant best-practice examples.

The Power BI in-house training was tailored precisely to our specific requirements. The trainer was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions in detail. Hopmann Office & Event Hub at Schliersee
Matching the founding of the HMA Academy, we were excited to open our new training center at Schliersee in spring 2024 – the Hopmann Office & Event Hub, which is located directly in our office building at Schliersee train station.
This inspiring location in the foothills of the Munich Alps is not only home to our HMA Academy training courses, but has also become a versatile hub for workshops, meetings and training sessions. The modern, barrier-free office offers everything you need for events: design-oriented and practical workspaces, a spacious seminar and meeting room for up to 10 people and a cozy lounge area – of course with a view of the lake and the beautiful mountains. The hub is only an hour away from Munich by train or car and combines proximity to the city with the peace and quiet of nature.
The opening of the conference center was not only a milestone for us, but also an opportunity to offer our customers and other interested clients a completely new type of service. The positive response has shown us that this was exactly the right decision. We look forward to continuing to use the hub for inspiring events in the future – whether for our own events or for external meetings and conferences for our customers.
Review internal events 2024: fun in our team
At Hopmann Marketing Analytics, we place great importance not only on working well together, but also on getting along personally as a team. For us, a good working atmosphere is the key to a successful working environment. In addition to our daily open interaction with each other, regular team events are important to us in order to create space for interaction, fun and nice moments together outside of work.
From the exciting “hunt for the golden Easter egg” in spring to the creative and nature-oriented summer fest at Schliersee: there were numerous opportunities to enjoy the year together. In autumn, we dressed up in our traditional costumes for Oktoberfest at the Oide Wiesn, before wrapping up the year with a cozy Christmas party. In between the larger team events, there are regular after-work get-togethers that encourage socializing outside of everyday working life.
Here is a little insight into our summer party. Our first Data Innovation Jam took place in the morning, where we brainstormed creative ideas for working with data as a team. Afterwards, we hiked together to the Schliersbergalm with a wonderful view of the mountains and lake Schliersee:

External Events: Networking & Inspiration
In 2024, we participated in many important industry events for marketing and data. For us at Hopmann Marketing Analytics, external events are more than just calendar appointments: they are an important building block for fresh ideas, networking with valuable contacts in the field of marketing and data and at the same time a source of insights on trends that bring us and our customers forward.
From Superweek, OMR, dmexco and CMCx to Bits & Pretzels, the AI-READY Conference 2024 and the MarTech Strategy Camp, we attended many exciting events this year. We apply the knowledge gained about the most innovative approaches directly into our work. That way, we don’t just stay at the cutting edge – we actively help shape it.

Data as a compass in uncertain times
This year, the economic situation was more tense than ever before for many companies: uncertainties in politics and economy influenced the daily agenda, which led to budget cuts in many places. At the same time, AI gained massive momentum and fundamentally changed the marketing world in many areas.
With our practice-oriented, strategic approach, we were able to navigate through the challenges and difficult times together with our clients. Thanks to a very close collaboration with our clients and a target-oriented approach, we were able to achieve a strong business impact in a wide range of industries. Tight marketing and corporate budgets were optimally utilized to achieve measurable success and generate more sales for customers despite the hurdles.
We have not only managed to strengthen existing customer relationships in ongoing data visualization, data engineering and digital analytics projects, but also to expand our portfolio with existing and new customers. With innovative services and products such as audits, marketing mix modeling (MMM) and various methods for increasing marketing and sales efficiency, we have taken data-driven decisions to a new level.
Of course, artificial intelligence has also influenced the way we work. We have been heavily involved in AI since the very beginning and have been able to further optimize our processes through the use of AI. In consultation with our customers, we use AI in a targeted manner where it brings added value for all parties. We have also added AI-supported analyses and AI consulting to our services.

This year, we also systematically expanded our data analytics consulting services: In addition to marketing and sales, we have broadened our expertise to other business areas in order to offer our clients even more comprehensive solutions. We have grown organizationally and expanded our business analytics expertise in order to gradually expand our range of services for C-level and company management in the coming year.
We are proud of the trust that many of our customers have had in us for many years and are also delighted that numerous new customers have placed their trust in us this year. We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you! And we are looking forward to many more exciting joint projects next year.
New talents and a special anniversary
In addition to exciting new projects, we were also able to gain many wonderful new team members this year. Over the course of the year, Hopmann Marketing Analytics was gradually expanded to include these data analytics experts:
At the same time, we celebrated a very special anniversary this year: our dear colleague Veronika Stierle (Senior Data Engineering Specialist) has now been with Hopmann for 10 years. Big congratulations! We are happy and proud to have you on board.

A special present for Christmas
Before we wish you a Merry Christmas, we would like to tell you about our Christmas present this year.
As you know, we love data. It helps us make informed decisions and create genuine business value. But behind every analysis, every insight and every dashboard stands a person. This year, especially during the Christmas season, we want to once again focus on the people who are not doing so well.
That is why, as last year, we will be supporting the Deutsche Kinderkrebsstiftung (German Children’s Cancer Foundation) instead of sending Christmas presents. By donating as part of the “Donations instead of presents 2024” campaign, we are pleased to make our contribution.
The foundation is highly committed to helping children with cancer achieve a full recovery, a better quality of life and fair opportunities. The foundation not only offers affected families advice and information, but also supports them in financial emergencies and funds important research projects to improve the chances of recovery.
Supporting this great and important work is a matter close to our hearts.
