Reflecting on the past gives us the power to shape a successful path for the future. As we approach the end of the year, we at Hopmann Marketing Analytics took some time to look back on all the milestones we have achieved. What an exciting journey 2023 has been – a year full of discovering new horizons, strengthening our foundation, growing our company, broadening our network and becoming even better in unlocking valuable insights for our customers. We would like to thank you for being a part of this! Before we wish all of you a Happy New Year, we invite you to join us on a journey through our top highlights of 2023.


We not only love data, we also have a passion for nature and the mountains. Hence, this summer we opened a new office in one of the most beautiful spots in Germany: Schliersee, a small town less than one hour south of Munich. Surrounded by the German Alps, our new location offers a stunning view of lake Schliersee with gorgeous mountains in the background. The office can be easily reached by public transport as it is located right in the former station building of “Schliersee Bahnhof”.

Having a second office location offers to find new employees who are located in the Schliersee region. Plus, the rest of the team has the great opportunity to work by the lake if they want to. Sounds good to you? Check out our current job listings here.

We have big plans for our Schliersee location for the near future. Starting next year, we will extend our services portfolio and offer extensive trainings in all our competencies (see below for more information). Our Schliersee office will become the main hub for holding these trainings as we have plenty of space available there. Besides, who wouldn’t like to spend a training with this view 🙂

We are also planning on hosting conferences, workshops and other events in our new office space. Get in touch if you would like to find out more about the location or are interested in renting it for your own (company) workshops.


As a boutique Data Analytics consulting company, our biggest asset is our team. Our new hires this year were important puzzle pieces we needed in order to extend our range of expertise when it comes to Marketing Data.

In particular, the Data Engineering team has been expanded as we are realizing more and more Data Stack projects. A Modern Data Stack (MDS) breaks data silos and enables customers to consume all relevant business data in one platform. Hence, we extended our MDS knowledge and expertise by hiring data stack specialists as well as successfully implementing MDS projects for new and existing customers.

At HMA, we live and breathe data. But data without a strategy to reveal actionable insights is just a collection of numbers. Since the start of our company in 2006, data strategy has always played an important role throughout most of our projects. In the past years, we have been experiencing an increasing demand for data strategy services from our (potential) customers. This is why we created a brand new team in our consulting firm: Data Strategy with currently two employees.

Within the scope of our services, we consult and support clients to develop their data strategy with the goal of becoming a data-driven business. Based on our extensive experience and knowledge in Marketing Data, we are able to ask the right questions to come up with goals and prioritized action items that lead to results which enable smarter business decisions. We work hand in hand with our customers and make sure to include all relevant stakeholders in the data strategy projects. Together, we discover hidden data treasures and unlock the potential for valuable insights.

At HMA, we put a strong emphasis on maintaining and extending our Marketing Data network. One way of doing this is visiting conferences and events. Our main event this year was the OMR Festival in Hamburg (Online Marketing Rockstars) in May.

We had our own booth and attended with 11 team members. Throughout the whole event, we were constantly in talks and discussions with customers, partners and people who just met us for the first time. It definitely was an amazing event with a lot of valuable input, inspirations and interesting conversations.

If you saw us at OMR and are reading this now – yes, also because of you. So, thanks a lot 🙂


Despite economically challenging times worldwide, we were able to keep our existing customers at Hopmann Marketing Analytics. This is probably our biggest achievement of the year that we are most proud of. Why? Happy customers mean that our services are what the market needs and wants. At the same time, it is a great honor for our team of experts. Because consulting business is a people business, and we always thrive for trusting and human collaboration with all our clients. We don’t want to be “just” consultants, but friends. Seeing our core customers working with us for such a long time fills us with gratitude and pride.

We are also grateful that we won new customers in 2023. Especially in the pharma industry, we were able to convince new clients of our Marketing Data Analytics portfolio.

As you know, data is our passion. Our constant goal is to offer real added value with our data analytics, insights and dashboards. Behind every data set is a person. Data is all about people. And there are people who, unfortunately, are not doing so well.

That is why this year we decided to do something good and help some of these people. Our Christmas present is a donation to Deutsche Kinderkrebs Stiftung (German Children’s Cancer Foundation). With this, we are taking part in their “Donations instead of presents 2023” campaign.

Deutsche Kinderkrebs Stiftung strives to ensure that children with cancer can fully recover and have and equitable quality of life and opportunities. They provide affected families with expert advice, information and have a social fund for financial emergencies and research projects to enhance the recovery chances.
